Little Hardwood Or Hospital Island This is a small 3 acre plus Island that was once used as a quarantine station in 1847 during the time that Irish Immigrant were leaving Ireland. The Island once contained a small hospital and doctor's house but only a small number of immigrant ships docked there as most went to Saint John NB and the Mirimichi. The Island has very friendly access with wonderful red gravel beaches on 3 sides. There is a wonderful post and beam style beach house with an upstairs loft and lots of room for summer guests. The island contains no fresh water supply or inside plumbing. A septic tank could be installed and water could be collected from the roof into a cistern. The access to the island would from St Andrews or from Cunningham Beach by a small boat.
Asking $ 175,000
